In a few days, the team of the International Online School of Acupuncture led by Prof. dr. Edvin Dervišević will embark on a long journey – to Colombo, magical Sri Lanka.
At the extremely friendly OUCM (Open University of Complementary Medicines), like many generations before them, they will attend a two-week professional internship in traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture. This year’s internship begins on Monday, the 16th, and ends on Friday, the 27th of February.
This is a study trip, but not only that. It is a return to the source of knowledge. It is a meeting with teachers, patients and clinics where medicine is not just a technique, but a relationship, attention and a deep understanding of man.
For years, our school has been building a bridge between Europe and Asia, between theory and real experience, between books and touch. Colombo is one of the stops on that road – a place where knowledge is learned not only with the head, but also with the hands, eyes and heart.
In a tropical climate, among the scents of spices and with the sound of the Indian Ocean, our participants will learn, observe, practice and grow. We are convinced that they, like many generations before them, will learn a lot, deepen their understanding of medicine, but also get to know one of the most beautiful islands in the world – and its beautiful, warm and hospitable people.
Because acupuncture is not learned just by reading. It is learned in movement. In work. In encounter.
The journey begins. And knowledge continues to expand.
This year, we are planning, as usual, an internship in Beijing in October, while a new internship in Shanghai will take place in September. More information on all the details will follow soon.
