What is auriculotherapy?
Auriculotherapy is a method of treatment by stimulating points on the ear that represent a reflex projection of the entire organism. The ear is viewed as a microsystem – a map of the human body – in which each region corresponds to a specific organ, function or part of the body.
In the mid-20th century , French physician Dr. Paul Nogier discovered that the arrangement of points on the ear resembled the position of an embryo in the womb. His work laid the foundation for modern auriculomedicine, which is now recognized and practiced worldwide.
Today, there are more than 500,000 auriculotherapists working in the world , and this method is considered one of the safest, most gentle and highly effective complementary therapies.
